One of the places I loved because it was very private, serene, and feels like far from any disturbances. I discovered this place through my elder brother, who that time was looking for his wedding venue. He wanted a garden wedding and here is where he brought me. The first time I saw this place, all I can say was "Wow, it's beautiful."
Upon reaching the gate of the resort, you will find that there is a strict security protocols being implemented. They asked us if we had a schedule with the resort's management. Once they confirmed the schedule from the admin, we had to leave an ID, count how many persons are inside the vehicle, open the compartment and check what's inside. And then an entrance fee of Php 500 per person (including children) will be collected and they will issue a receipt. That Php 500 entrance fee is consumable, meaning you can consume it as food at their restaurant or deduct it at your hotel booking, whichever way you wanna use it. When payment has been settled, they will open the gate and one guard riding a motorcycle will guide you through the resort up to the parking area.
On your right is the view from the resort's gate going inside the resort. We were headed to the Palette (the restaurant), but going there, you can already have a view of the gardens, the hotel, the villas, and so much more. For more photos, a gallery will be provided at the end of my blog. The Palette serves most Filipino dishes. But of course, other Asian dishes are present. They offer fresh fruit juices as well. This restaurant has a view of the garden, the fish pond, and the entrance to the Symphony (one of the two swimming pools). And they often turn on the falling waters from around the Palette's roof. |
In short, my kuya (tagalog word for 'brother') has decided to take this resort as his wedding venue for these reasons:
The Resort has two pools, the first one is the Symphony pool, and the second one is the wave pool.
Going to the wave pool, you have to pass by the hanging bridge, which by night time, the lights around it are turned on but will be closed at around 5-6 pm for safety, unless there is an occasion booked at the wave pool of course. This pool has a better view for a wedding but my kuya considered his guests that might be scared to cross the hanging bridge and also the safety of children, that is why he chose the Symphony which has this isle on its middle, that has a fountain on regular days. The fountains were turned off as requested by our party, which has served as the aisle going to the altar. Okay! His wedding wish granted. Haha!
Other things I noticed were:
- There are a number of cute bikes standing just before the hotel entrance, which every guests can use to roam around the resort. I did borrowed one going to the Palette (Restaurant), but just before I ended my meal, heavy rain has poured out so there is no way for me to use the bicycle back to the hotel. Instead, the staffs had requested for me and my family a golf cart which they drove for us as we returned to the hotel.
- Strict security - only the list of wedding guests provided to the guards will be able to go in.
- The management agreed to hire another chef that can prepare the food line up for the wedding, which are out of the restaurant's menu.

Reminders:
- There are no mobile signals at the resort (based from my visits from June to August 2015)
- They have wifi at the restaurant and in the hotel if you booked in.
- You cannot use the swimming pools if you have not booked a hotel room.
- Better if you call the resort first before going there just to be sure that everything will go fine (if there are no companies that are booked to avoid the bunch of people roaming around the resort).
- If you plan to hire outside caterers, better let the resort management know it first because they might not allow them. One good thing for us is that they allowed the Starbucks Booth inside, a big, big hoorayyyyyy for that! haha

I suppose the resort is not really finished yet. Everytime we pay a visit, something new has come out. It is still in the process of development and polishing, so there are still more things to wait for.
