| On August 2015, I was about to meet my Korean friend and he asked me to come over where he was. I found him in a new resto which I never new has opened already. He told me about a cafe which sells bingsu, pizza, coffee, frappuccino and waffles that is famous in Korea, specially to younger generations or should we say teens. I ordered Injeolmi Bingsu (the picture on the left) priced at 195 pesos. The cashier told me that each order of bingsu is good for 2 persons. This flavor has rice cakes coated with brown powder that makes it more yummy and good on texture. A scoop of Korean ice cream on top makes it even more irresistible. The crushed ice is very much powder-like with some ingredients in it, milk perhaps, I'm not sure but there is something special in the ice. It doesn't hurt on the tongue unlike Philippine-style halo-halo ice, this one is very soft and easily melts in the mouth. Other toppings or ingredients I had not paid attention to were present. I did not think of making a review that is why I ate everything all the way without paying attention to its composition (hahaha, maybe next time). I've taken a picture of their menu for your reference (as of August 2015). Prices may change without notice. SNOW BUNS is located at the 2nd level of Marquee Mall, Angeles City. Part 2 - My 2nd visit at Snow Buns
August 30, 2015
After church, it was quite humid and hot, and I was thinking of a nice weather buster that I can munch on. Snow Buns came to my mind because I have their promo card wherein I'll get a pizza on my next order. This time, I ordered Snow Buns Special Bingsu, where all the toppings of other bingsu are placed on it. (Other toppings are hidden from the view, sorry for that). Here's how it looks like.

As usual, I was satisfied from my craving that day! It was something cold, with soft milky ice, not too sweet - that you can eat all of it at once. And the free pizza? I was expecting only a slice and something not really deli. But guess what, It's the customer's choice what flavor she wishes to have based from their menu, and it is one full order! They suggested gorgonzola or ham and pineapple. I chose the latter. It was freshly cooked with a really thin crust, not oily, has enough flavor on the tongue, you wouldn't feel the guilt if you are on a diet. Now I'm really loving this dessert shop; good service crew, clean place, good food.
Korean style of food is always something not tasty for others, which means not salty, not sweet, and a healthy choice. May it be coffee (like Cafe Bene), soup, dessert, bread or whatever. That is why it is called asian cuisine. So if your taste buds are american style (looking for tasty burgers, steaks and fried), you may not appreciate this one. Good thing I was exposed to korean style of food as there are many korean restaurants, cafes, and bakeries here in Philippines, particularly in Manila and in Angeles City Korean Town.
